This is a beautiful, handcrafted Artisan ring made in my small shop in Ottawa, Ontario, in Canada. Ancient Bog Oak is a very rare and desirable wood reclaimed from peat bogs, and buried environments under rivers and lakes. It can literally be thousands of years old! Each ring is sealed and finished to a high polish. This ring is offered on a polished black ceramic comfort fit core in widths of 6mm, or 8mm, but please ask about many other other custom inner core options. US full and half ring sizes from 5 - 13 are available. If you require a custom order at a different size, please send me a message and I will do my best to accommodate. These rings are made using the Bentwood technique. This method of wrapping several layers of stabilised wood veneer around the core results in a stronger, more beautiful ring than those simply cut from blocks.

IMPORTANT - RING SIZING:
Please be certain to have your ring size checked professionally by a jeweler (usually a complimentary service) to ensure that you will have an accurate fit. To avoid any issues with the sizing, it is strongly advised not to use unreliable methods such as an online printable ring sizer or measuring by wrapping a string around your finger. My rings are sized per the US standard ring sizing specifications and will be double-checked prior to shipping. If the wrong size is ordered by mistake I will work with the customer to find a solution, but accurate sizing is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please note as well that wider cores (e.g. 8mm-10 mm) will typically fit a little more snugly than narrower widths, such as 4mm or 6mm. Please consider going up a half size for this wider option.

RING CARE:
The rings are all well stabilised, but it is advised to avoid prolonged submersion in water, such as for bathing, swimming, or doing dishes (particularly for the wood rings). Your ring will last many years if cared for properly. An occasional light buffing with wood or metal appropriate polish will keep your handmade ring looking great. Please avoid harsh abrasives.
